After facing several challenges with the production of cards and plates in
the previous year, let's hear how the Land Transportation Office or LTO is
handling the processes now.
According to the LTO, most of the agency's licensing offices are now
issuing the 5-year license cards. The rest, the agency says, will be
delayed in issuing due to the ongoing problem with the internet connection.
Meanwhile, with regard to the Temporary Restraining Order on the
distribution of the plates, the LTO says that it has now been lifted and
they can finally continue distributing the plates to the rightful owners.
The agency clarified that they didn't release any "special permit" for
vehicles that haven't been issued their plates. The LTO says that those
were "conduction stickers" used to ensure that the vehicles are registered.
The LTO is hoping that the production as well as the distribution of the
cards and plates will be continuous so that the agency and the motorists
wouldn't face the same challenges again.
