It's good to know that the government and other foreign financial
institutions are working together in building an efficient transportation
system in the Philippines. The National Economic and Development Authority
or NEDA and the Japan Agency for International Cooperation or JICA have
inked a partnership with the government in extending the Philippine
National Railway or PNR from Tutuban going north.
The Philippine National Railways or PNR says that there are a number of
projects that have been approved by the National Economic and Development
Authority or NEDA that are seen to improve the service to the commuting
public.
According to the PNR, JICA or the Japanese Agency for International
Cooperation will start with the construction of Tutuban going to the North
line on the second quarter of next year or earlier.
The agency adds that there are also a number of railway projects in the
pipeline in the Mindanao area.
